PC Security Checks

Backup and Disaster Recovery

There are a number of solutions on the market today designed to keep your data protected against loss. Sadly many smaller businesses choose not to take advantage of them. We have seen a number of companies come to us who have not had a data backup or disaster recovery system put in place, and certainly wished they had when their system failed.

There are a number of options that will allow you to backup to CD, thus allowing back-ups of your data in a matter of minutes. With CD-Writers becoming less expensive, and writable CD's being relatively cheap, this provides an ideal solution for many businesses.

Tape Backup is another method used by many. Although more expensive than backing up to CD-R, there are considerable improvements in the amount of data that can be backed up, reducing the need to change media half way through the backup process. Typically tape backup offers storage in the region of 20 Gigabytes. This form of backup, requires backup software to be installed, which will allow you to restore your system and avoid data loss.

If you want www.yourcompany.co.uk then all you pay is ?8.42 and payments are only accepted in UK Sterling.
